Wild pics show car left dangling over canal after crashing through wall

A car dangles over a canal after crashing into a wall.

Both front wheels of the Vauxhall Corsa were suspended in the air.

The passenger had to dive into the canal at Wolverhampton to escape the wreckage – but both occupants were unharmed.

Police cordoned off the road while specialists worked to rescue the car that crashed in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The narrow boat’s owner, Stephanie Hardman, was surprised to see the vehicle dangling from the bridge as her boat passed under it.

Stephanie said: “They crashed around 2am on Saturday morning.

“Both occupants were fine, but the passenger opened the door and fell into the canal.

“That’s what the local police officer I spoke to said.

“As I got out of the back of the boat, I saw it and then went closer to look at it.”
