PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Host Tamala Edwards interviewed this week on Inside Story Meghan Pierce, executive director of the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvaniaregarding the proposal to amend the constitution, which could have significant implications for the entire state.
The League is a national, non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to registering voters, providing voting information and fighting for voter rights.
Recently, here in Pennsylvania, they lobbied for more transparency in Harrisburg over Senate Bill 106 (SB106), which passed this summer.
SB106 has proposed several amendments to the PA Constitution that could change abortion rights, voting rights, election oversight and security, and limit the governor’s veto power.
They also discuss how voters can stay informed on the issues ahead of the November election.
