Is season 2 of The Surrogacy happening?

renewal status: No decision has been made yet on the future of the show.

The surrogacy was released on June 14, 2023, which means that about a month has passed since the series debuted. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months for Netflix to decide a show’s fate.

While the Mexican soap opera is popular with viewers, it’s hard to predict whether Netflix will decide to renew it, especially since the series concludes most of its storylines in the finale. If the writers plan to move on, there are a few ways forward, though The surrogacy would also work well as a limited series. A count of twenty-four episodes is already more than most Netflix shows, even across multiple seasons.
