Will there be another The Last Kingdom movie after Seven Kings Must Die?

The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die will hit our screens on Friday April 14th, 2023! Starring Alexander Dreymon as Uhtred von Bebbanburg, the film serves as a continuation of the Netflix television series. So will there be another film?

Production picks up speed again following the events of the season 5 finale, and everyone is still fighting in the hope of a united England. Peace seems to come over the land for a while until King Edward dies. Now comes the battle for the throne with two potential heirs in the picture, Aelfweard and Uhtred’s former “mouth and protégé”, Aethelstan, Netflix shares. But a “dark influence” has taken over Aethelstan, putting our central character in a difficult position. Through all this, the Danish warrior king Anlaf also comes to cause trouble.

So after five seasons and now a sequel, it seems like the universe is expanding. Will that be the case? Below we have the answer for you!

Will there be another The Last Kingdom movie after Seven Kings Must Die?

As far as we currently know Seven Kings Kings must die should serve as a conclusion The Last Kingdom Story. The projects are based on the Saxon Stories, the book series by author Bernard Cornwell. There are 13 (!) novels in total and the film should cover the last three, per screen rant.

Joining Dreymon on screen are Harry Gilby as Aethelstan, Ewan Horrocks as Aelfweard, Pekka Strang as King Anlaf, Mark Rowley as Finan, Arnas Fedaravicius as Sihtric and Rod Hallett as Constantin.
