Wilmington, Delaware man indicted for brutal assault on Solid Gold Jewelers owner

Calvin Ushery, 39, faces a maximum sentence of 107 years in prison on robbery, assault and other charges.
WILMINGTON, Delaware (WPVI) — A Delaware grand jury has indicted the man charged with the brutal assault and robbery of a jewelry store owner in Wilmington.
Calvin Ushery, 39, faces a maximum sentence of 107 years in prison on robbery, assault and other charges.
Prosecutors say he violently assaulted the owner of Solid Gold Jewelers on September 15.
Surveillance video shows 68-year-old Chang Suh being kicked and hit on the head at least a dozen times – twice with a hammer.
Suh was beaten so badly that he is still undergoing rehabilitation.
“This attack was brutal, cowardly and deeply disturbing,” said Attorney General Kathy Jennings. “These are serious crimes with serious consequences. We never pick these charges lightly – but they are entirely reasonable under the facts.
