Witch Fever announce debut album ‘Congregation’ and share its title track

Witch Fever has announced their debut album ‘Congregation’ – listen to the title track below.

The Manchester quartet will release the LP, produced by Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs’ Sam Grant at Blank Studios in Newcastle, on 21 October through Sony’s Music For Nations.

The lyrics of ‘Congregation’ were largely inspired by singer Amy Walpole’s experience growing up in a Chastity Church, a form of Christianity that emphasizes the work of the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts. Modern miracles and miracles. She left church at the age of 16, and her parents followed her two years later.

“As our first album, we’re really excited to just get it out there,” Walpole said in a statement about ‘Congregation’. “We felt that it was a step above what we did before when we had the opportunity to experiment with sound and structure. This was our first chance to explore writing a challenging yet rewarding piece of work! ”

The title track from ‘Congregation’ was released today (May 17) along with a video directed by Laurence Warder and Sam O’Leary, which you can see above.

“This is Alisha’s [Yarwood, guitarist] personal favorite! “Walpole talks about the track. “It marks a new step in our development as musicians as it is something different from what we have done before. We’ve allowed ourselves to experiment with space and dynamics and we love it! ”
