Fantasy you have to know: The Wings (11-13) host the Sky (18-6) in Arlington on Saturday night. Dallas won 92-87 against the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday. Arike Ogunbowale put in an excellent performance with 32 points, five rebounds and six assists. She had 30 points for the 12th time in her career, the most in the league since joining the league in 2019. The Wings rank fifth in offensive standings (102.0) and seventh in defensive standings (102 ,6). Favoring a slower pace, Dallas ranks ninth in Pace Per 40 Factor.
The Sky defeated the Sparks 80-68 on Thursday. It was the first time in Candace Parker’s career that she went scoreless. In her first 381 games in the league, she scored at least two points every time. Parker had 11 rebounds, four assists, a steal and two blocks. She has averaged 32.8 fantasy points per game this season. The Sky ranks second in offense (105.2) and fifth in defense (97.5). In terms of Pace Per 40 Factor, Chicago ranks fifth.
Marina Mabrey (23.0), Allisha Gray (27.9), and Ogunbowale (32.1) all average 23 or more fantasy points per game and should be used in fantasy lineups. Satou Sabally is currently out with an ankle injury. She’s averaged 20.4 fantasy points per game this season and should be launched when she’s active. Teaira McCowan is another good fantasy option. In the last four games, she has averaged 27.5 fantasy points. Kayla Thornton is available in 80.6% of leagues if you are looking for a streamer. She has averaged 17.6 fantasy points per game this season.
Parker (32.8), Emma Meesseman (26.3), Courtney Vandersloot (24.8), Kahleah Copper (23.6), and Allie Quigley (19.4) are must-start options in Fantasy averaging over 19 Fantasy points per game. If you are looking for a streamer, don’t overlook Azura Stevens who is available in 51% of the leagues. This season she has averaged 21.1 minutes and 19 fantasy points. –Eric Moody
Best bet: Sky -4.5. The Sky is 9-4 on the road this season. Due to the Wings’ inconsistent play this season, they have a 5-7 home record. This season, Sky are 7-6 against the spread. Chicago’s playmakers and experience will be too much for the Wings. The sky will cover. –Moody
