Woman found dead in Seattle near Ballard High School

SEATTLE — Seattle police are no longer investigating the death of a woman found near Ballard High School early Monday morning as a homicide.

SPD responded shortly after 3 a.m. to 64th NW and 15th NW and found a 44-year-old woman dead.

After the incident was initially reported as a shooting, Seattle police later clarified that the woman was not shot, fatally or otherwise.

Police said Monday afternoon that no foul play was suspected in the woman’s death.

There is no other information about the victim.
