Woman in her 20s ‘falls from balcony onto shopper’ at The Glades shopping centre as paramedics rush both to hospital

A woman fell from a balcony onto a shopper in a busy mall, leaving both of them in hospital.
Rescue workers rushed to the scene of the accident at The Glades in Bromley, London, just after 2pm yesterday.
Met Police said in a statement: “A woman – believed to be in her 20s – is believed to have fallen from a balcony. Another woman in her 80s was found with injuries from the fall.”
“We are awaiting updates on her condition. The police remain on site and the investigation is ongoing.”
A London Ambulance spokesman said: “We were called at 2.13pm (24 July) to reports of a person falling from a height in the High Street, Bromley.”
“We dispatched three ambulance crews, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a volunteer emergency response team and a dispatcher to the scene of the accident.
“We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance, which consisted of a paramedic and a doctor in a car.
“The first paramedic arrived in about three minutes. We treated a patient on site and brought her primarily to a large trauma center. We also treated a second patient and took her to a local hospital.”
