Police officers have released photos of a man they want to speak to after a rape attack at a south Devon seaside resort.

The horrifying incident happened near a pier in the seaside resort of Paignton on Thursday.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Investigators are looking into a report of a rape that took place in Paignton on Thursday 29 June.”

“It was reported that it happened between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. in the area of ​​the pier.

“Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

“The female victim is being cared for by specially trained officers.

“Police investigating the incident would like to identify the man pictured as they believe he can assist them in their investigation.”

Police are asking anyone with information to contact police on 101 or through the website quoting log 511 dated June 30.

They are also attractive to anyone who has dash cam or CCTV footage of the Paignton seafront area which may be helpful with any enquiries.
