A WOMAN has shared with us the chic bathroom makeover of her council house that her mother did on an extremely large budget, but it seems not everyone is a fan.

Taking to Reddit, the woman shared a snap of the finished result, which included MDF paneling, floral wallpaper and a statement sink.

In the post’s caption, she wrote, “My mom’s remodeling of our church building’s bathroom on an extreme budget.”

But while many were quick to congratulate the couple on the chic makeover, many jumped in and pointed out the mistakes that had been made.

One commented on the thread and wrote: “Very pretty! Could the vanity be raised by adding a base or legs?”

“It feels like the shower curtains could fit better with the rest of the bathroom. But good job mom,” another added.

Others commented that the room may have looked a bit bare.

“I hope it at least feels warmer with the yellow light on,” another commented.

Meanwhile, a fourth complained about a bad habit they had noticed.

“Please close the lid. So disgusting,” they added.

Despite the extensive criticism, many were quick to congratulate the mother on her good work.

“That’s beautiful, congratulations to your mother,” said one admirer.

Another agreed, adding: “These walls are so beautiful.”

Meanwhile, a third wrote: “Great job, especially on a limited budget. It made me smile that you were proud of your mother and wanted to post something.”
