WoW players “extremely concerned” over Dragonflight expansion being “rushed” out

Blizzard has just unveiled many more details for the upcoming World of Warcraft Dragonflight expansion, with pre-orders available now and the DLC release window set for some time before the end of December this year. After hearing this news, fans are voicing their concern that the latest DLC might be released too soon.
Announced back in April, WoW Dragonflight now offers three different editions for players to choose from. Base Edition, Heroic Edition and Legendary Edition. You can see the difference in each with our full launch hub.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of this expansion as this new chapter in the WoW saga will feature a wide variety of content. For the first time, players are brought to the Dragon Isles and introduced to a new race and class.
Despite the initial excitement surrounding the big update, many are now concerned about the latest announcement as Blizzard has confirmed a 2022 release.
AArguably the biggest change Dragonflight will bring is the development that rogues, mages, and priests will be made available to all races. This will be the first time since the game launched 18 years ago.
While no exact release date has yet been given, we now know that a 2022 drop is Blizzard’s goal.
WoW fans are reacting to a Dragonflight launch in 2022
Given this update, much of the immediate reaction was shock and disappointment. Given that the DLC was only announced a few months ago, this quick turnaround to release has many expecting the worst.
In the past, Blizzard has had issues with not delivering promised content, or alternatively taking months to fix and update new content that should have been ready for launch.
Well, Blizzard’s decision to release #kite flight in 2022 is just further proof that learning from past mistakes is impossible for them. I wonder what excuses they will use this time when the xpac doesn’t deliver.

On social media, WoW players are debating the news, mostly expressing confusion over the possible 2022 release of Dragonflight.
Some have even pointed out that this is “further proof” that Blizzard hasn’t learned from “past mistakes.”
In addition, this decision also made it clear to some that Blizzard is still not listening to player and community feedback.
“Are you suggesting that Blizzard Entertainment would knowingly ship an unfinished product?” asked one Reddit user sarcastically.
However, some fans are unimpressed by the news. Various threads have surfaced as many fans are disappointed but not surprised by Blizzard’s approach to the new content.
Despite these concerns, initial fan reaction to the Dragonflight expansion announcement was extremely positive. We hope Blizzard can deliver and that those fears of it being rushed have been proven wrong.
