Cody Rhodes used to be on AEW with Joey Janela, but the two eventually left. Joey Janela, a former AEW wrestler, recently made headlines for his social media antics. One of his recent posts involved him admitting to enjoying a glory pit, and now it looks like he’s been trying to prank none other than Hulk Hogan.
Janela, who attended a karaoke night at Hogan’s Beach Shop, revealed on Twitter that he had disguised himself and convinced Hogan that his friend, Jimmy Lloyd, was dying of illness. He even tried to take a picture with Hogan under fake pretext.
The wrestler, known for his attention-seeking behavior, claimed on Twitter that he changed his costume and let his hair down so Hogan wouldn’t recognize him. Janela then tells Hogan that Lloyd has only a few weeks to live because of an illness, and convinces him to take a picture with herself and his friends.
Janela’s antics aren’t just limited to his interactions with Hulk Hogan. He was recently seen getting cranky with a Devils-Rangers mascot, proving that he’ll do his best to keep himself relevant on social media.
While Janela may no longer be part of AEW, he certainly managed to keep his name on the headlines with his attention-grabbing behavior. It remains to be seen what other stunts he has in store for his followers.
