WWE star Cody Rhodes and Co break down in tears on live TV over Bray Wyatt’s death during emotional SmackDown tribute

WWE stars were moved to tears over the death of Bray Wyatt after SmackDown paid an emotional tribute to the beloved wrestler.

The WWE star died Thursday at the age of 36 in a tragedy that shocked the entire wrestling community.

His fellow WWE wrestlers honored him with an emotional tribute on Friday Night SmackDown.

Wyatt, whose real name is Windham Rotunda, received one tribute video from the WWE squad.

Cody Rhodes, Finn Balor, Luke Gallows and AJ Styles appeared in the video and stood on stage full of emotion and tears in their eyes.

The iconic wrestler’s iconic strike with his lantern opened the tribute.

It included a series of touching clips showing Wyatt’s storied career, as well as pictures of his children and fiancé Jojo Offerman.

According to Fightful, the wrestler died of a heart attack, but the star’s family has yet to reveal a cause of death.

“There has been a lot of positive progress towards his return and recovery. Unfortunately he suffered a heart attack today and passed away.”

Rotunda’s official cause of death has not yet been confirmed by family or authorities.

He was a WWE Champion and an integral part of the company due to his creativity and promotional skills.

He came from a wrestling family. Rotunda was the grandson of Blackjack Mulligan and the son of Mike Rotunda, better known as Irwin R. Schyster – IRS.

He also had a brother who competed in WWE, Taylor Rotunda, who wrestled under the name Bo Dallas.

His death prompted great sadness and appreciation on social media.

Wrestling icon and WWE star Dwayne The Rock Johnson mourned Wyatt in a heartfelt message.

“I am heartbroken at the news of Bray Wyatt’s death. I always had great respect and love for him and the Rotunda family. I loved his presence, his promos, his work in the ring and his connection to.” WWE Universe.

“Very unique, cool and rare character that is difficult to create in our crazy world of pro wrestling. I’m still dealing with the loss of the goat, Terry Funk yesterday and now Bray today.”

“My love, light, strength and mana to the Rotunda family and the Funk family at this difficult, heartbreaking time.”

Matt Hardy, six-time WWE Tag Team Champion, shared a message on Instagram mourning the loss of the beloved wrestler.

“Completely devastated to learn of the passing of my friend Windham Rotunda,” he wrote.

“It’s devastating to think that he left us at just 36 years old. My condolences go out to his family, his wife and children. I am so sorry my colleague. I miss you already.”

The fans are left heartbroken

Fans of Rotunda also took to social media to pay tribute to the wrestler who had become a fan favorite.

One said: “As soon as the video ended I just started crying man :(.”

Another person wrote, “I had tears in my eyes, and rightly so.”

And a third fan said: “When I heard the crowd chanting ‘He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,’ I got goosebumps.”

Finally, a fourth person wrote, “Such a beautiful tribute.”

“He seemed like a decent human being who loved his family and friends and he was an absolute creative genius in the wrestling business.”
