An exclusive game for Microsoft, only those playing on Xbox or Windows PC will have the opportunity to experience Starfield’s massive open world.
If you want to make sure you can play as soon as possible and avoid spoilers, here are some tips you need to know.
When can I play Starfield on PC?
Starfield is a huge game and file size to match. With a file size of approx 125GB The installation will take some time.
If you pre-ordered Starfield through the Microsoft Store, pre-releases started yesterday August 17th.
That means you can start downloading right away and it will install ready to go.
However, if you pre-ordered through Steam, you can only preload your game August 31st.
If you have ordered the Premium Edition or the Constellation Edition, there is a narrow window in which you can install the game and start playing.
Both editions give you five days early access to and play from Starfield September 1.
If you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you can play for free a week later and also pre-download the game.
When can I start playing Starfield on Xbox?
If you pre-order the version from the Microsoft Store, it will include both the PC and Xbox versions of the game.
It then makes sense to summon Starfield from the same date August 17th.
The file size is also similar, so you’ll need to make sure you have enough free space on your console to download it.
Xbox Series S owners in particular need to ensure that around 50% of their console’s storage space is available.
The console version also has a premium and a constellation edition, meaning the earliest access date is September 1.
If you pre-ordered the Standard Edition, you’ll have to wait September 6th to get access.
