The next chapter of what Paramount+ is calling for Yellowstone“origin story” – begins with 1883 prequel spinoff – will introduce viewers to a new generation of the series’ central family, the Duttons. Through them, according to the official description, the series will “explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic droughts, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all raged in the western mountains, and the Dutton calls it home.

Paramount + was previously in development a Yellowstone spinoff named 6666will focus on the centuries-old Texas ranch known for its exemplary horses and livestock. Yellowstone sets up much of its Season 4 action at 6666, where Jimmy works and where his fiancée, Emily, is a veterinary technician.
