‘You Hurt My Feelings’ trailer: Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars in A24 comedy-drama about relationships

How honest can you be with your loved one without hurting their feelings? The latest comedy from A24 You hurt my feelings is a light-hearted, heartfelt version of something that so many couples grapple with.

Novelist Beth (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) shares a loving life and supportive marriage with husband Don (Tobias Menzies). They find themselves at a crossroads when Don reveals his true feelings about her latest book.

The film is directed by Nicole Holofcener, who also created the critically acclaimed lead actor Dreyfus Enough said. In addition to Dreyfus and Menzies, the latest Holofcener features the stars of Michaela Watkins, Arian Moayed, Owen Teague, Jeannie Berlin, Amber Tamblyn and David Cross.

You hurt my feelings has previously been described by critics as “lopsidedly delightful”.(Opens in a new tab) and “influential and relatable”(Opens in a new tab)with a “gratifying ensemble energy”.(Opens in a new tab) From the trailer it’s easy to see why.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 26, 2023.
