Young Thug Prosecutors Trying To Ban Videos From Courtroom During Trial

Young Thug’s prosecutors filed a motion in court to ban media from recording in the courtroom during his trial.
They believe the footage could endanger the lives of the witnesses.
“Several witnesses have expressed safety concerns to the state, and they are concerned for the safety of themselves and their families if they choose to testify,” Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis wrote in the filing. “The state is concerned that video recordings of the faces of witnesses and victims could endanger the safety of those individuals.”
She continued, “Additionally, the State is concerned about the impact on due process and the truth-finding function of the judicial process; Witnesses may be afraid to testify and provide full information knowing they will be videotaped and that their personal safety could be jeopardized by their testimony.”
Prosecutors are charging Thuggers YSL with being a gang and not a record label, and prosecutors must prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Thugger played a role in the gang-related violence.
