Young Thug’s MOST RECENT Tweets From Behind Bars . . . May Cause Problems In RICO Case

Hip-hop superstar Young Thug is currently behind bars awaiting trial in a pending RICO case in Fulton County, Georgia, Media Take Out has reported. But his recent social media activity is causing a stir outside of his cell.

The “Lifestyle” rapper recently tweeted out to Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps. However, it was reportedly not well received by the courts. During Thursday’s court hearing in Georgia, the judge called for restrictions on communications between attorneys and their clients in YSL’s RICO case after prosecutors raised concerns about leaked discovery information and witness intimidation.

11 Alive News shared footage of Judge Ural Glanville reaching out to Thug and Gunna’s attorney, Brian Steel, while the rapper watched from a video camera behind the walls of the Cobb County Jail. When Steel denied prosecutors’ claims and denied that Thugga had access to a cell phone while in jail, Judge Glanville fired back: “This is part of the conversation I’ve had with all of you about your teams and everyone else. You have to be really tough on it – it’s like handling classified information. It must be known at this point. And if people don’t need to know, you don’t need to disclose it. And it will either hurt someone or get someone in big trouble.”

However, Steel doubled down on his claim that someone else is tweeting for the YSL rapper while he is behind bars. “[The Michael Phelps tweet] was a conversation that was recorded between [Young Thug] and a member of his close family, close friendships,” Steel said. “He asked the other person in control of his Twitter account to send that or maybe Instagram. That’s no reason [restrict].” Despite his tenacity, the judge concluded that Thug’s ability to spread a message in prison means he can intimidate witnesses.
