In a clip posted to TikTok account @pepper.ph, the man claimed the hack was simple – and didn’t cost a penny.
He says cooking the bacon in water instead of oil gives it the perfect crispiness.
“Cooking bacon in water? It sounds crazy, but trust us — it’s the best way to get perfectly crispy (and splatter-free) bacon,” writes the foodie. ”
In the video, he shows off how to cook bacon from scratch until it’s beautifully crispy.
He then wrote: “Details: After adding water, cook over medium-high heat until water evaporates. Then reduce heat to medium so the bacon gets crispy.”
People flocked to the comments and said they couldn’t wait to try it.
However, some people are skeptical – and say they fear cooking bacon in water will cause the meat to lose its flavor.
It comes just days after another foodie on TikTok revealed that Brits don’t make their mashed potatoes properly.
