In a clip posted to TikTok account, the man claimed the hack was simple – and didn’t cost a penny.

He says cooking the bacon in water instead of oil gives it the perfect crispiness.

“Cooking bacon in water? It sounds crazy, but trust us — it’s the best way to get perfectly crispy (and splatter-free) bacon,” writes the foodie. ”

In the video, he shows off how to cook bacon from scratch until it’s beautifully crispy.

He then wrote: “Details: After adding water, cook over medium-high heat until water evaporates. Then reduce heat to medium so the bacon gets crispy.”

People flocked to the comments and said they couldn’t wait to try it.

However, some people are skeptical – and say they fear cooking bacon in water will cause the meat to lose its flavor.

It comes just days after another foodie on TikTok revealed that Brits don’t make their mashed potatoes properly.

She claims we’re all making a big mistake, because according to this expert, we need to stop boiling potatoes in water if we want it to be extra creamy – yes, you heard that right.

According to this expert, if you want to make the best mashed potatoes, you need to boil the potatoes in milk.

Rosie Gill, director of Milk Street Cooking School, shared her mashed potato recipe on social media – leaving many gasping for air.

She explains that it’s time to stop boiling potatoes in water – because you’ll need to use milk instead.

TikTok clips posted under the username @177lactoseclearly stunned many people as it was only shared a day ago, but has quickly gone viral and racked up a staggering 3.3 million views.

But social media users are divided on the cooking tip – while some are impressed, not everyone is as keen.

One person said: “Great tip! From now on I will marry this!”
