Afsennah (@afsennah) shared the advice in a video with over 770,000 TikTok followers.

The certified trichologist explained that many people don’t wash their hair properly.

“You’re using your shampoo wrong!” she said.

“Don’t just randomly apply your shampoo to your scalp,” she advised.

She demonstrated how most people wash their hair on their own scalp.

Instead, the expert explained that the shampoo needs to be emulsified before it even comes into contact with a curl.

“You must emulsify your shampoo this way! Emulsifying is key,” she said, rubbing the shampoo between her hands.

“This way your shampoo spreads evenly and cleans your scalp better.”
