The 27-year-old Baker went down after being shot and required treatment for several minutes before being substituted.

And he appeared to be in considerable pain as he was lifted off as fans applauded and waved “Theo, Theo!”

Baker himself covered his face with his shirt to hide his tears as he lay on the stretcher.

Even commentator Stephen Tries was disappointed – but he wasn’t exactly sympathetic, considering Baker had just returned from hip surgery.

He said: “It’s a real shame because I wrote a few more jokes and it was a waste of time.”

Baker’s injury was one of the main talking points in an action-packed first half that saw the two teams level at 2-2.

However, the game was overshadowed by a hilarious mistake by YouTube all-star JiDion when scoring the opening goal.

Behzinga shot into the goal after dribbling past a defender, but the ball fell at the feet of JiDion, who tried to pick the ball up with his hands.
