Yungblud on Nirvana, Britpop and His Upcoming Album

Yungblud had a few weeks. He was introduced in TURNCover story of April. He then released a new single with WILLOW and yesterday he announced that his third album will be out this September. On the latest version of SPIN Presents Lipps . ServiceThe 24-year-old sat down with host Scott Lipps for the second time to reflect on his busy year.

During the conversation, Yungblud talks about the importance of the original Nirvana TURN cover and what it means to him, how he solidly built his career, and how he matured in music. He also understands how Britpop influenced him growing up, working with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and the new rock movement. This is Yungblud’s second appearance on the show.

Pinfield also shares memories of the late Taylor Hawkins, his first interview (with Depeche Mode), and follows his journey from a music fan in New Jersey to hanging out with David Bowie .
