Yves Bissouma delighted by Liverpool’s goal despite defeat in World Cup final

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma has posted on his Instagram Story that Liverpool transfer target Kylian Mbappe was “incredible” after France were beaten by Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2022 final in Qatar on Sunday.

Despite scoring a hat-trick on football’s greatest stage, Mbappe ended up on the losing side as Argentina secured victory with a penalty shoot-out win.

Mbappe was here back in 2018 when he became the first teenager since a certain Pele to score in a World Cup final as France beat Croatia.

Once again, the PSG superstar, who is perhaps the best player in the world right now, made history. But this time in a game, his nation will want to forget.

But while that pill will be a bitter one to swallow, Bissouma sent a three-word message to the 23-year-old following that defeat, saying in his IG story: ‘You’re amazing’.

And he’s not wrong! This proves once again that 15 years from now, Mbappe will be spoken in the same breath as the legendary Lionel Messi.

MESSI TRANSFERS YOUNG PUPPY MBAPPE

The spotlight will be firmly on Lionel Messi because what was written in the stars is now reality and he is world champion.

The 35-year-old has eclipsed his PSG team-mate, who has probably produced one of the greatest performances for a player on a losing side.

In truth, this game would not have lasted even more than 90 minutes without his absolute genius.

PSG fans will hope this will keep him on their scene in the next transfer windows as Liverpool and Real Madrid have long admired the player, as reported by Marca.
