‘Zenless Zone Zero’ is a new game by the developers of ‘Genshin Impact’

MiHoYo, developer of The Genshin effectannounced a new action role-playing game called Zenless Zone Zero.

Described as an urban fantasy title, the game is set in New Eridu, a post-apocalyptic refuge for humanity following a disaster known as the “Sub-Hollow disaster”.

Hollow is the portal to another dimension that allows beings known as Purity into our world.

The Etherals destroyed much of human civilization, with New Eridu being humanity’s last safe haven.

The people of New Eridu harnessed resources and technology from the realm of monsters to sustain life.

Players take on the role of a Proxy – an instructor who helps others explore Hollow.

In the announcement trailer, several anime characters appear armed with a number of ranged and melee weapons including swords, dual pistols, axes, and machine guns.

Combat has a flashy and stylish interface with what miHoYo describes as “a fluid, cinematic, action-packed combat system” with the player taking control of a variety of characters similar to Genshin Impact.

The game is set to release on PC and iOS, with registration for the first closed beta now available through the game’s official website.

In other news, game classification company Wata has been accused of “manipulating” the retro games market in a new class-action lawsuit filed this week.

This comes after a nearly hour-long investigation posted to YouTube by Karl Jobst last year.

The lawsuit also alleges that Wata took several months to grade and return the game, while it actually promises that the process will take only 15 business days.
