DJ Demands Meeting with Delta Boss After Being ‘Humiliated’ for Not Wearing a Bra on Flight
Lisa Archbold, a DJ known as “DJette Kiwi,” claims she was humiliated and almost removed from a Delta Airlines flight on January 22, 2024, for not wearing a bra. Archbold, who was flying from Salt Lake City to San Francisco after attending the Sundance Film Festival, was wearing a loose white T-shirt and baggy pants. She says she was escorted off the plane by a crew member who deemed her outfit “offensive” and “revealing.” Archbold was allowed to reboard only after putting on a jacket.
Archbold expressed that the incident felt discriminatory and humiliating, particularly as she identifies as queer. She criticized Delta’s dress code policy as subjective and prone to misuse. Delta later apologized but did not admit wrongdoing. Archbold has since called for changes to the airline’s policies to ensure passenger safety and prevent discrimination.
